Salvadoran restaurant
This place has the best Menudo, caldo de res, caldo de Pollo and their breakfast items are great! Don't expect to dine in a restaurant, but their humble dining area and honest service are both pleasant and their food packs a great satiation.
I went to this restaurant with my Salvadoran co-worker for our lunch break. When I walked in the restaurant I felt like I was in the Jim Crow South. The cashier looked at me with disgust and made me felt VERY unwelcome! My co-worker noticed her smug attitude and told her in Spanish that he’s with me it’s alright. The racist lady didn’t look at or acknowledge me the whole while even when I paid for my order she didn’t say a word.A few days later another of my coworkers who is black said he was going to order from Salva-Mex I told him they don’t like black people order their food. When he came back with his food to the job site he told me that when he was in line to order a black truck driver was trying to order food from the racist servers they gave him a hard time by not answering he’s questions until he just walked out of the restaurant!!! If you’re black don’t go here!!!!
Out of the 3 items I tried (fajita torta, fajita tacos & cheese pupusas) the pupusas were the best! Lots of cheese! The other two items didn't have much flavor.
