A group of us went to Saltgrass after the Mayoral candidate watch party.Even though it was 10 minutes to closing, they let us in, which was very kind of them. The wait was long, despite the place being mostly empty. The service was also slow, but the server was alone.Considering there was 8 of us, she did a decent job. I ordered the blackened redfish with fries and melted cheese.I also ordered broccoli instead of soup. The cheese was missing, when it arrived.I thought she was going to take the plate and have them add the cheese on top.She brought the melted shredded cheese, which was not the same as it would've been if it were on the fries. The fish had crab meat on top.I ate the broccoli, most of the fries, and some crab meat. The first piece of fish I was going to eat, had a gray hair in it.Kelsey the manager took care of it.I considered that great customer service. The low score is a combination of the service, food, and my to-go cup.As I walked to my car, the drink kept spilling on my hand. It was trickles as if the kid was leaking I finally realized in the garage, it had holes in the cup.Four holes in the cup.The holes in the cup doesn't make sense to me.I cannot for the life of me understand why there are four holes in the cup.Ultimately, the food I ate was so so.I didn't get to try the fish, most people at the table didn't care much for the food. The ambiance is nice, the location is in the GRB.You can enter from the center or the street. So, the restaurant itself isn't an issue. However, the food and service needs help. The manager tried her best and it's the reason why the location gets more than one star.I believe they can improve.

So disappointing. I ordered their steak salad that was supposed to have green beans, red potatoes, olives, tomatoes blue cheese. When I showed up they gave me a wedge that looked so sad. I complained, the manager tried to make me understand why I paid $40 for a salad and potato that was wrong. She said she would take â2 secondsâ to upgrade my salad. What I received was wilted lettuce on this salad, cold steak and the oldest dry potatoe ever. No olives, no eggs, wet onions- completely inferior food. I will like toss this in the garbage and reorder. But whatâs worse is the manager trying to explain⌠smh. She should be ashamed to serve this food. The staff was very lovely.

Overall, Saltgrass was what we expected of a mid-range steakhouse. We ate at the bar since the wait time was long.Priscilla, the bartender was helpful and gracious. The reason for the ding on the food was that the New York strip was tougher than I expect one to be.The grilled shrimp were grilled perfectly, but I thought the flash fried green beans needed a tad more cooking time.
