Saltcellar

My first time ever in Columbus, Georgia and one of the first things I inquired about at my hotel is “where is the best food around here”.
Saltcellar was at the top of the list.
The food, staff, and ambiance are outstanding.

I did a tour of the menu and every single item I ordered was tasty and cooked to perfection.
I specifically enjoyed conversation with and service from bartender Frank who is actually an accomplished musician.
Manager Jamie was also amazing as well as all staff with whom I interacted.

I patronaged this establishment 7.12 to celebrate with a family member.
This was a horrible experience.
The food was not good.
My party complained about the food not being seasoned.
I originally ordered the crab cake dinner with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts.
The crab cakes were not good, so Jamie, the manager came over.
I told her and she brought out salmon.
The salmon was not done, so I sent it back to be cooked.
After I got the bill, I noticed that I was still charged for the crab cakes.
Jamie came back over and said "we don't normally take off meals if the kitchen didn't make the error".
As I expressed my concern with being charged for food I didn't eat, she simply offered no solution.
Like I told her, she failed to explain this from the beginning.
I would have kept my original meal and seasoned it myself once I got home.
I've never heard of this before, and I visit a lot of restaurants.
I didn't have an issue paying for what I ate, but charging me for bland food that I didn't eat makes no sense.
Let's not forget the almost $12 added gratuity for subpar service.
I'd never visit this place again, and I don't recommend it.
The party behind us was upset with the lack of service as well.
I saw the man send back his food.
We did not enjoy this experience nor the food.

I've been here a few times, and truth be told, it's just ok.
There's nothing to rave about.
I do wish they had better side options besides asparagus and the tasteless greenbeans with almonds On my last visit my food was cold and I asked could they pop it in the microwave or something they said no because they didn't have a microwave in the back but they could redo my meal and I was over it because we had already waited for a very long time for the food to come out and honestly it wasn't that many ppl there on a Tuesday so I didn't understand why the food would be cold.
