SALA - Modern Sicilian Dining

Although a bit pricey, Sala offers good food and great service.
A small bar offers a nice spot to have a drink and wait for your table, and two inside dining areas (as well as an outdoor patio for the warmer months) offer plenty of seating options.
The spinach salad was delicious, loaded with fresh strawberries.
However, I would have loved a little more goat cheese.
My husband ordered the split pea and ham soup, which was a bit thick in consistency yet very good.
There was plenty of ham and fresh vegetables, making this hearty side a nice dish on its own.
We went on a Thursday night with friends when Sala was also having their trivia night.
Although we did not participate, the questions were great, and it sounded like a lot of fun!

Sala is overpriced and not worth the money I just spent on two pastas and a pizza.
I got linguini and shrimp in a white butter sauce that was watery and bland and only came with 3 pieces of shrimp when this dish cost $32.
wt* is that?! There was no flavor at all while the margarita pizza was beyond garlicy and the most off tasting margarita pizza I've had.
Their pizza uses chopped basil and sliced tomato unlike the original margarita pizza with cherry tomato and whole leaves of basil.
The food is *very* untraditional Italian. The third pasta was their sugo red sauce with angel hair it tasted like something used in the sauce was burnt. Overall not a high quality restaurant with high quality prices.

Great experience, the waiter and waiter in training who waited on our table were great.
Food was good, particularly the garlic cheese bread and bolognese.
Also had the baked goat cheese which comes with crackers and bread crisps.
We also had the Da Mare which was very good.
Good size scallops.
Had tiramisu and it was good too.
