Rudy's Smokehouse

We were traveling from Columbus to Dayton and saw the sign on the highway.
We know it’s not the famous Rudy from Texas but decided to give it a shot and we were glad we did! It’s pretty legit, we had the sampler which has 6 types of meats.
I’m not a chicken person so can’t say much about the pulled chicken, but the rib, the pulled pork, the sausages, the turkey and all the fixings are really good.
I am a sucker for sweet potato and theirs does not disappoint. If we travel this way again will definitely stop by again!

The ribs at Rudy's Steakhouse were out-of-this-world amazing.
They were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning, and the BBQ sauce was absolutely phenomenal.
These ribs have definitely earned a spot on my personal list of the best ribs I've ever tasted.

Saw Rudy's and decided to check it out.
The reviews were off the chart.
So with those kind of reviews you have to try it. Diane and I got the sampler plate as I like to try as many different meats as possible to get a true report on thier cooking. The sampler had 6 meats.
Pulled chicken, pulled pork, sausage, turkey, brisket, and ribs.
A carnivores delight 😊. It comes with 2 sides of which we chose scalloped potatoes and bacon green beans and 2 slices of garlic buttered Texas toast. The review is easy.
All the meats were absolutely delicious and tender.
The pulled pork, turkey and pulled chicken looked as if it could be dry but they were very tender.
Every meat was cut with a fork tender.
We had the sweet sauce and the Bourbon sauce, both of which were very good.
The scalloped potatoes and the green beans were also wonderful. All of the portions were nice. The only slight mishap was the toast was just slightly overcooked but still tasted good.
Loved that garlic butter. Overall I would have to say this is definitely some of the best BBQ I've had outside of Texas.
Maybe the best. We can't recommend this place enough. Overall, highly recommended two thumbs-up 👍 👌.
