New year eve dinner.4 of us came from Jersey and 1 person from Staten Island.Nice decor and clean place.I liked the quite atmosphere (w/o blasting music disrupting) and TV display showcasing traditional ethic foods. Was surprised to be charged for bread, $2 a piece when its free at all other similar restaurants.Manti was OK.Samsa was OK.Kazan Kebab left much to be desired as it is usually a lot spicier.Steak came very late for 2 people when the rest of us were almost done with our food and was overly salty and very subpar.Mashed potatoes tasted strange.Shurpa was very subpar with a giant potato and beef in it was not tender but rather chewy.Lagman was OK as per my friends.Plov was overly oily, almost swimming in oil, not as much meat as the price. That excess inflamatory oil creates a stress response in the body.Komput atleast was not that bad.A bit on the sweeter side with added sugar but not overly sweet.I would rather have a sugar free option if that was available. We were surprised on the slow service for stakes as there was only one more table filled at that time, so it was not that busy.Beware of 4% service charge if you pay by CC.The bill should have both cash and credit prices on it but they only put cash but later will charge you the extra 4%.Sadly, I can't say I recommend even a single item from this place.A whole in the wall like Turkish Express has much better food than this place.

I recently had my first experience with Uzbek cuisine at Registan Restaurant, and it left a wonderful impression on me.The service was fast, the atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming, the salad was tasty, and the meat dishes were tender and full of flavor.Plus, the prices were fair.I wholeheartedly recommend this place without hesitation.

Thanks!
One of the best authentic Uzbek Restaurants in the heart of Brooklyn, NY!!! To those who aren’t familiar with Uzbek cuisine, I genuinely recommend this place for it’s flavorful plov (pilaf) made of long grain rice, juicy kebabs, delicious salads, and yummy “cheburek”.
