I've been in 3 or 4 times over the last year and the FLAVOR 🤌 consistent and delicious. They do a nice balance of menu standbys and fun creative seasonal specials. It's cozy but I've never had trouble with the wait. Also, sometimes the tea in the salad is sourced locally from Minto Island Growers!
Wow.My first Burmese dining experience was a delightful introduction to comfort food that was both familiar and accessible, while at the same time being new and interesting. The menu isn't huge, but has a nice variety of noodles, dumplings, curry and fried chicken to choose from.On our visit, they were out of the single, large dumpling that stands out on the menu.Happily, a flat bread with yellow peas special made a delightful replacement. They offer a small number of beers, enough to find something that fits your tastes, and, in our experience, well matched to the food. It is an order at the counter / take a number to your table dining experience, with servers that do a terrific job of delivering everything hot from the kitchen. It is not a huge space - I'd estimate somewhere between 8 and 10 tables, in a casual, somewhat rustically designed room.
We came late after 9pm one Saturday night without reservation.Parking was easy and the restaurant was pretty empty. We were four of us and ordered food at the ordering window. All food came very quickly.Ghin salad was nice and crunchy.Mala aloo was very different- a little soggy because of the oil underneath but I think that was the intention and it was flavorful nonetheless. The Mix fry plate was really good with each of us having our favorites. The entrees were disappointing though. The tofu nway and 1/2 chicken entrees were both very mediocre. We did enjoy the space and the music playing- very tropical feeling to it.
