We came on Thursday to try some oysters we ordered the Atlantic and Pacific.I can't remember which the biggest size was I believe the Atlantic (it was on our right hand side) but, the taste was really off with them. The first one we had we were like maybe we did something wrong, went for the second one and it was amazing. We continued between the two but, still found the bigger sized ones had something off with them. The last one from the bigger sized oysters (Atlantic I believe) had a foul smell but, again I thought it was just us...I was wrong. It was the worst oysters I've ever eaten and I've had oysters all over the place. We did bring it up to the staff and their oyster expert came out.He invalidated our feedback, playing it off like nothing was wrong with it as he took the shell away.We smelled every single shell and the last one I ate definitely had the worst smell of them all.We did say the smaller oysters were really good and since it was our last oyster, we didn't think we should even say anything because we still ate all 12.It's 2 days after the fact but, we've been feeling sick, stomach aches and puking.
My family and I were so excited to try this place while on vacation. When we showed up, there wasn't a single employee anywhere. There was people eating and a few locals at the bar.One of the locals yelled "sit anywhere they will help you in a bit".We had 5 people and a toddler. The only table big enough for us had a single laptop and beach towel on it.The vibe was weird, no music, no employee, no bartender. It was extremely creepy. We stood there kinda confused and the local at the bar said "you belong up stairs". We proceeded to go up stairs to the rooftop bar.Had a drink, and left. The rooftop bar was fun.We drank for an hour and when we left, there was still no employees in the rooftop bar. After we proceeded to go to another Japanese oyster bar, and spent hundreds of dollars on great meals. The owner of this Q&A missed out on a bunch of money from us.If you have a business, you must have employees...
The bar is cool, but the rest needs work.We started with gumbo, which wasn't bad....it just wasn't gumbo. If you can't make a roux correctly, you should just call it soup. The drinks were not great either. We sent one back because it was too acidic. The replacement arrived in 15 seconds and tasted very much like a premixed cocktail. Some minor changes and this place could be a lot better.
