Q Rico Restaurant

Hands down the best dining experience we had in New York.
The chef had such pride and love for the food, we felt like it was a Michelin restaurant with extremely reasonable prices.
We left well fed for 4 people under $50.
The little mufongos were so well designed and I don't know what the cassava dish was, but it was perfect and the best my husband ever had.
Mac and cheese homemade for the kids was super good too. Worth heading up to the bronx just for the experience and food.
I am so greatful to have found Q rico.

Had the skirt steak mofongo (MF), that MF did not play! A family business of the best kind helmed by chef Francisco Javier who was the best MF in the city three times! This MF had it all, perfectly mashed up plantains, not overly mushy, and has chicharron incorporated into it.
This MF had crunchy bits of chicahrron!! Topped with very flavorful tomatoes and onions with a aji and vinegar sauce, MF-ing delicious 🙌🏽 That’s not to even mentioned a skirt steak cooked perfectly medium rare, you could tell it had been seasoned, maybe even slightly dry aged.
It was tender, juicy, and made with care.
Check out this MF as soon as you get a chance, I don’t even live in the Bronx but I gotta get up to go back to try the lamb 🤤 I only took one photo of the food because once it was on, there was no stopping with this MF.
Chef Francisco also hooked it up with a thick and creamy slice of flan 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Best mofongo ever.
Every dish was thoughtful and intentionally put together with good quality ingredients.
A total hole in the wall hidden gem you hope to find and are always looking for but seldom come across as good as this one.
Prices very good for the value of what you get.
