Vietnamese restaurant, Southeast Asian restaurant
Was fortunate enough to run into this little gem of a place right before closing on a Sunday night.Started with the spring shrimp rolls that were so fresh and dipped into the delicious peanut butter sauce.I had the grilled shrimp vermicelli that was immaculate, and my companion had the shrimp pho that she absolutely loved. The service was great, the staff so welcoming and they were nice enough to wait until we were done to close. Will definitely visit again.
Some of the better pho I’ve found in San Diego outside of “little Saigon” in the City Heights neighborhood. The broth is rich and complex, the aromatics are fresh, and the meat is good quality.Service is also great here.Food comes out in just a few minutes.I enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee as well, they serve it in a drip over condensed milk, which is kind of fun to watch.Definitely recommended when seeking authentic pho in town.
Good experience. The staff was exceptionally friend, the noodles remained al dente (sometimes Pho noodles get soggy), the broth was 8/10.I felt a little bit low while seated on the booth, but otherwise the restaurant was nice and quiet. Parking was good but you have to three-way turn to get out. Interesting they offer a "surf and turf" option – clearly influenced by the success of this menu option at taco shops.
