I’m an avid Party Fowl fan, but the Party Fowl at BNA left me thoroughly disappointed.Service wasn’t too bad; our server was polite and on top of it.We waited 15-20 minutes for our food, anticipating the same quality we know and love. But by taking one glance, I immediately knew something was wrong. The color of the chicken was nowhere near what I expected it to be (for context, I ordered Nashville Hot, like I always do), and the mac and cheese looked sad.Picture 1 & 2 is what I received, and picture 3 is what I expected. The mac was lukewarm when it arrived at my table, and the chicken was the blandest I’ve ever had. It's not a touch of heat or flavor, mostly grease. Not only that, the ranch was not the same. There’s a unique touch to the food that Party Fowl serves, a touch that was blatantly missing from this dish. This was nothing close to the quality I’ve fallen in love with.I understand there is a limited menu due to being in the terminals, but for a local and well-known chain, I expected better.
I will start by saying that my server was really polite and informative, though it was only his second day on the job.Great kid! I had never eaten here, so I asked what was the most popular item on the menu.I was told to get the sandwich I have pictured here.I can’t tell you what the bacon, chicken, bun, or mashed potatoes and gravy tasted like because everything was so grotesquely spicy! It ruined the entire experience. My mouth burned like I had eaten a spoonful of battery acid.I only had a few bites of the sandwich, and then decided to douse the flames with some of the mashed potatoes and gravy.I think they were also spicy, but it’s hard to tell because those few bites I took of the sandwich incinerated my senses and taste buds. Not wanting to be in a diaper the rest of the week and not wanting to be in the lavatory the entire flight across the United States, I paid my bill and then ran next-door to the Burger King and drank a strawberry shake as a remedy for the spiciness that was still killing my mouth.
Food was extremely fast, our waitress was very friendly, and the prices for food and drinks were surprisingly reasonable, considering it is in an airport! The food did fall a little short, though. The chicken sandwiches were on point, but we also got some tenders, and they were very dry.The shoestring fries hit the spot, but the cole slaw was pretty blah. This was my first time experiencing a bottom-fill beer tap system, and the resulting glass of beer was great!! Overall, I'd suggest a visit, and chances are pretty good that I'd go back.
