Pappy's BBQ brings a slice of smoky goodness to Oklahoma City, offering classic barbecue fare at a budget-friendly price. Located at 201 S May Ave, this spot is known for its welcoming vibe, although the reviews tell a different story. Diners have noted that the brisket can be a bit tough, but the pulled pork shines as a standout option. However, portion sizes have left some patrons wanting more for their money, with many suggesting it may not be worth the trip back. If you’re craving a casual lunch with decent sides, Pappy's might still be a worthwhile stop.

September 19, 2024I recently tried Pappy's BBQ, and while the atmosphere had a nice vibe, the food didn't quite impress. I ordered the Squealer with one meat and two sides. The pulled pork stood out as the best, but the brisket was unfortunately tough and dry.
The sides, while decent, were just so-so - baked beans were good, but the potato salad felt bland and lacked crunch.
For $21, the portion sizes were a letdown. I might give them another chance down the line, but for now, I’d suggest checking out nearby options like Clark’s Crew for a better BBQ experience! 🍖
