This was a strange place, the decor was old and looked like you were in your grandma's house in the early 90's.The waitress had quite the fan base of older men coming in to flirt with her as she would hug them and sit with each of them at their tables. The food was just okay, chicken fried steak had a funny taste, gravy didn't have much flavor, the corned beef hash had a lot of oil.I think the oil they were frying in needed to be changed. The biscuit was very dense, not my kind of biscuit.
Pretty busy on St.Patrick's Day.The service was quick and good.Martina was very friendly.I had the chicken fried steak and it was made fresh. The steak was a bit too chewy but it was flavorful. My wife had the biscuits and gravy with two sausages and scrambled eggs. The sausages were excellent and the biscuits were moist.
Local breakfast spot that does not disappoint. No frills, cozy restaurant with a lot of charm.Model train goes through the restaurant and there is a train whistle you can pull at the entrance. Seated and served quickly.Food was fresh and tasty.Good sized portions.Prices are a bit high, but it seems like that everywhere these days.
