Ollies

"Great place to eat.
The lamb is fantastic! However, the bar drinks could be better.
The overall atmosphere is pleasant.
I had to wait for some time to wash my hands and noticed that the gentleman I was waiting on went straight into the kitchen to the cook line without washing his hands.
This raised some concerns about the sanitation.
Even though he could have washed his hands inside the restroom behind a closed door, it should be mandatory for the kitchen staff to wash their hands every time they enter the kitchen and not go straight to the cook line."

I hadn't been to Ollies in years.
Decided to go in for a sit down meal.
Ordered the hummus, vegetarian sandwich with falafel on side and sweet tea.
My cousin order the shrimp poboy and sweet tea.
Both came with French fries.
The fries were loaded with salt but hot.
The hummus was so bland I had to add seasoning to give it something and that did not help much but it was better than it originally was serve.
The bread was hot but considering it looked like stone fire bread it definitely did not taste like stone fire bread.
The vegetarian sandwich was not good.
I took one bite and left it.
The falafel was too think, they soaked the mix too long and pressed them together.
Taste like they added flour or something to the mix to stretch the falafel mix and then deep fried them way too long.
The shrimp poboy, according to my cousin was bland, no seasoning.
To say I live in the New Orleans area, they should definitely remove that from the menu.
The sweet tea was extremely sweet but the second glass was watered down.
The manager did visit the table but it didn't change much.
The bartender was apparently having a bad day because her attitude was not very pleasant considering she is the 1st person I should have been treated by but she pretended she didn't see me so I had to address her.
I sent my $16 sandwich back that I took one small bite out of and they only removed $4.
My bill came out to be $50.13 and they added $2 because I paid with a debit card.
I will definitely NOT be returning!

October 10th, 2023.
My wife and I decided to come to Ollies for lunch after not coming here for several years.
This was one of those meals where it was disappointing to have to pay for!! There were only two tables occupied when we walked in to be seated.
We ordered one drink a piece, a spinach dip for an appetizer, and we both got a hamburger wrap!! We waited 25 minutes for our spinach dip and it was okay at best!! Maybe five minutes later we got our entrees and both of our burger wraps were burnt and charred!! And I don’t mean it was a little crispy on the edges which would have been okay!! But they were both burnt so badly, there wasn’t enough ketchup to disguise the char taste!! And most of the crispy meat was in the middle with nothing but wrap at the edges!!The best thing about this meal were the french fries!! The drinks were decent!! Our server was working by herself and was super nice and polite!! Hated so much we spent $90.00 for a lunch that wasn’t worth $10.00!! And we were charged to use our debit card!! We will not be going back and wouldn’t dare recommend this place to anyone we know!! The last picture I posted is from a few days after our Ollies visit that my wife cooked at home!!
