Had to come see Sam The Cooking Guy's restaurant and it didn't disappoint. We all did the taco trip trying all of the different tacos and they were all incredible, especially the pulled pork spicy Mac and Korean short rib. I wish we'd tried the tots too. We managed to find street parking just a few blocks away. Nice job Sam!

A Delightful Experience at Not Not So Tacos Restaurant Last weekend, my friends and I had the pleasure of dining at Not Not So Tacos restaurant, and I must say it was an absolute delight. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a vibrant atmosphere that set the tone for our dining experience. The menu at Not Not So Tacos is a creative fusion of flavors that left us intrigued and excited to try something new.The variety of taco options was impressive, with both traditional and innovative combinations that catered to different palates. Each taco was a burst of flavors and textures, expertly crafted with fresh ingredients and attention to detail. One thing that stood out was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they served. They patiently guided us through the menu, offering recommendations based on our preferences, and ensuring that we had an unforgettable dining experience.

Avoid this place. I can trip over good taco joints in San Diego, spend less, get warm food faster, and walk away feeling good about food. And as a tourist, I absolutely did, easily. If you're going to attempt something somewhat bold, by holding your fusion tacos against a pretty solid, more traditional taco scene, you can't bomb like this. This isn't even a fun alternative that people, with sensitive stomachs, can seek out to get a little slice of the taco experience.I can't recommend that anyone should go here, unless you want to see the staff wrestling behind the counter. The food is inexcusably poor. This is a "fusion" taco joint where you essentially have "non-traditional" taco fillings on the menu. For example, we got a Nashville Hot Chicken taco and a Korean BBQ taco. There is nothing wrong with fusion or non-traditional cuisine - I love this sort of thing, even when the execution is off.In the case of Not Not Tacos, however, the execution is so bad that the tacos we got were almost insults to tacos, the concept of fusion, and the foods that they attempted to fuse with tacos. Our KBBQ taco was the consistency of catfood, cold, and soaked with a salty marinade that made it impossible to eat by hand (we had to go to another vendor, in the food hall, for forks). To say that the "Nashville Hot Chicken" on our taco was a poorly disguised, freezer bag chicken tender would imply that there was any attempt to hide that it was just that; no resemblance to Nashville Hot Chicken except for the sorry, singular shaving of pickle on top. Each taco was, essentially, a sad scoop of some "not taco" food that was dumped on an equally sad tortilla.Worst part is that the tacos were $5.25 each - not even worth it for the story.
