Chinese restaurant
Situated on State Avenue, Nice Food offers a casual dining experience favored by university students in Kansas City. This Chinese takeout spot boasts a menu filled with comforting options, from small plates to quick bites. Though patrons rave about the Hot and Sour soup and its accessibility for dine-in or takeout, some dishes, like the Bourbon Chicken and shrimp fried rice, have received mixed reviews. With a commitment to serving a variety of tastes, it’s a budget-friendly option for a fast meal, but diners may want to tread cautiously based on past experiences.

September 11, 2024Nestled in Kansas City, Nice Food offers a casual take on Chinese cuisine, perfect for a quick bite or dinner. I tried the Malaysian noodles, which delivered an authentic taste, reminiscent of southern China, despite being slightly salty. The steamed dumplings were another highlight!
However, the shrimp fried rice did lack flavor and texture. With free parking and a laid-back atmosphere, it's a decent spot for a quick meal, but I hope they improve consistency across dishes. Worth a visit, but manage your expectations! 🍜
