Restaurant, Mexican restaurant
I am not a local but we do come to town a lot on business.I definitely have to give credit to Google and the ppl who reviewed this place as well! Thank u for sharing this spot I felt like it was a secret.I was craving a tamal so we had to try them..and I'm so glad we did! They were so soft and flavorful..one of the best I've had in awhile! We will def be coming back next time we are in town. The whole menu looks amazing...I can't wait to try more! ( Also as a plus there is a man out front of the business who makes fresh squeezed orange juice 🧡)
I read an article about this place a few years ago.Because I love tamales, and the article gave such great reviews, I decided to check them out.I wasn’t disappointed. The meat to masa ratio was perfect, (not too much masa and too little meat). The flavor of the masa was perfect.I usually prefer the red over green sauce, but the green sauce in these tamales left me wanting more, despite them being spicy. My daughter loves them too.I don’t think I’ll ever want to buy tamales from any other place.
If you're looking for authentic homemade tasting tamales - Nehemias is the place go for tamales with a good ratio of meat to masa. So far, I've tasted the pork with red chili and their pork with green chili - both are very good!!! They started their business by selling tamales out of their van at the Home Depot parking lot off Cherry and Willow. To meet the demand, they opened a store front where the make their tamales daily. You can place an order; you can pick up at the store; and you can still find the husband at Home Depot. Their tamales are fresh! If need a dozen or more, call in advance and place an order. They often sell out!!! Buen Apetito!!!
