Food was presented beautifully and fast BUT definitely for show, it was mostly bland and no acidity whatsoever. The oysters tastes old and not worth your money..green salad was just lettuce topped with shredded beets and radish.Sushi rolls were too little and I’d say I’ve had better at a convenient store in Beijing.Definitely not worth it, I MIGHT only come back for drinks if I ever
I had the pleasure of taking my stepson to Morimoto last night as an early birthday gift.First of all, the atmosphere is awesome.I don't know how they made the dining area feel so spacious, yet still retain some form of intimacy while your dining, but they pulled it off! Secondly, the drinks were delicious! Well-crafted, delicious, and strong! Some were deliciously simple, and others had an inherent complexity that ended up being a precursor to the upcoming meal (in a very good way!). Thirdly, the food!! Lord, the food...unbelievable.My stepson and I decided to put our meal in the chef's hands and went with the Morimoto Omakase.Best.Decision.Ever.I firmly believe the chef put his absolute soul into every dish we had.The chef and staff represented not only themselves, but the restaurant AND their teachers/instructors well.I have absolutely no negative critiques. You know you are having a wonderful dining experience when you are already thinking about returning to the same restaurant while you're dining! I also want to make a honourable mention to the wait staff at Morimoto. These unsung heroes deserve some heartfelt recognition for the service they provided last night. They were very kind, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. They took the time to describe every single dish that the chef presented us, and in some cases how it was prepared and even suggested on the optimal method of consuming said dish.We followed their suggestions, and were very grateful! All in all, a wonderful experience? 10/10.I'm already looking forward to my next experience.
We had Omakase at the bar and it was excellent! The food was innovative. They combined foods and prepared ingredients in ways I’ve never seen before. All the dishes played with combining different flavor profiles and textures like sweet and salty or crunchy and smooth. The service was knowledgeable and polite. I definitely would recommend coming here sometime.
