Mexican restaurant, Fur service
Excellent everything! Food, service, ambience......definitely a new favorite and glad I found it.Service was on point and food was fresh and hot and flavorful. Loved the aesthetics....decor was nice.AC was a little too cold. No happy hour.....would love to see happy hour...but drinks were still good. Will definitely go back.
Nestled within a bustling shopping complex near Alamo Heights Methodist Church, this gem of a restaurant offers convenient parking and an inviting atmosphere. The decor is tastefully simple, creating a comfortable ambiance that’s enhanced by the charming outdoor seating option. The culinary experience here is exceptional, with an array of mouthwatering dishes. The mini tacos, tortas, and puffy tacos come highly recommended, but rest assured, the menu is filled with other equally impressive selections. Chips and salsa are served with a variety of other sauces and tortilla soup, some of which are absolutely amazing Service at this establishment is attentive and commendable, adding to the overall delightful dining experience.I had the pleasure of trying their Micheladas, which, without a doubt, rank among the best I’ve ever enjoyed. Despite its modest size, this restaurant is a standout destination that’s absolutely worth a visit.
Bland underwhelming food in a beautiful location. My pork chop was way over cooked the puffy tacos are overly greasy.Everything screams boring texmex with a hefty price tag.But I get it...rent is so high in the heart of Alamo Heights. All in all, I would not return here. You could go down the street to Soluna (Just to give one example).Same price tag, WAY better food. These restaurants don't seem to understand the concept of competition. I'm scared to post this because I know I'll get a kindly worded reply from the owner for this review. They'll pretend they don't hate me for giving them 3 stars, and I'll pretend that the fact that they have a 4.5 overall score on Google maps is actually relevant.
Owner response
Eber I’ll address what I think is the most important part of your review first and that’s that I am truly sorry for not providing an experience worth of your complete satisfaction. You may not believe this but we do actually care about our customers and the service we provide, so that said I will address the issues you point out immediately. We opened right as Covid changed the world and wouldn’t be here if we didn’t tend to feedback, so I do thank you for sharing your experience. This part of my response is purely personal. You shouldn’t be scared to share your experience (I understand you are not literally scared, I am just using your words to not put words in your mouth) I do believe all operators like to know the good and bad of their business or at least I do and I don’t have to pretend not to hate you for giving us 3 stars, it’s your honest opinion and I respect that.I do hate that we failed a customer, that I do.Regarding getting a kind worded response, why wouldn’t you? We are adults having a conversation and a shouting match over opinions or points of view I do believe is beyond unnecessary. All in all, I do thank you for the opportunity to serve you and honestly hope to have the opportunity to do it again in the future.
