I like this McDonald's, located just down the street from my home, where the staff is usually friendly and quick, and I spend probably $20-$25 a week here. However, this weekend, I had a confrontational conversation with one of the employees taking orders from drive-thru customers around 2:10 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2024. The outside line was moving much slower than the inside lane, which was frustrating because it seemed like the order-taker forgot about those customers.
When I reached the order spot, I waited still longer for someone to assist me. I finally said "hello" several times and complained about the slow service but received no response. I then lightly tapped my car's horn and still no response. Finally, I asked loudly "Is anyone going to take my order?" The response: "F--- you." I couldn't believe it and asked "What?" And then the young, male employee said "F--- you. B---- A--."
At that point, I drove off in anger, knowing that I was never going to be served that day and ended up going to another McDonald's down the road, where I had no problems at all being served. (Come to think of it, I may start going to that location now, instead.) I was shocked, angered and embarrassed that one of your employees would respond to a customer in that manner. I'm sure that was NOT part of his training.
I understand that fast-food workers sometimes seem to be overwhelmed these days, but we shouldn't forget that "fast food" is the major reason why people go to McDonald's in the first place. If the service isn't fast, then the whole experience of going to your restaurant suffers immeasurably. Please respond to this complaint. I would like to know that someone at your organization is listening.

I recently visited this McDonald's on W 71st St, and overall, it was a great experience!
The friendly staff made my curbside pickup quick and easy - my order arrived within five minutes. I enjoyed a classic Big Mac and their crispy French fries, both delicious as always.
The restaurant was impressively clean, and accessibility features are a big plus! I did notice the ice cream machine was out of order, which was a bummer, but it won't deter me from returning.
Perfect spot for a quick bite anytime of the day! 🍔🍟
