Not bad food. Most of the lamb is certified halal.Just check with the staff, they can verify. They were all nice and took care of everything quickly. The fries and lentil & spinach soup were good. The lamb & spinach signature dish was great! The lamb was tender with a mild flavor and the pine nuts and almonds added the perfect crunch to the meal. The lamb & rice dolaa was not the best but it was a good mix of flavor. It is a really small location so it is loud and crowded.Worth a try if you are in the area!
I’ve never really had this kind of food before so I was a little nervous.I described it to someone else as a mix or somewhere between Greek and Indian which I guess makes sense geographically too haha.I was so pleasantly surprised by everything! So much flavor in all of it.Even just the salad that we had something else served on top of.We got an appetizer plate with four different things.I think the hummus (which was so bright and creamy and a good contrast to some of the warmer flavors), potatoes Harra, fries and aioli (to die for! I always love a good aioli), and Muhammara (I’d never had anything like that before, a walnut and pomegranate dip? Almost like hummus thickness but such a different flavor and SO good!) Then we had a lamb Kafta over salad, which like I said before was so surprisingly good! I was just expecting lettuce but it had some amazing dressing and toppings on it.And then we tried the chicken and potatoes Muttabak since we’d seen so many reviews talking about it.It was so yummy! If you like Indian food this is right up your alley. The warm spices and flavors were so so good.We obviously came home with leftovers and I was so happy to taste it all again!
Mazza was an absolute treat! The food was stellar and the service was genuine and enthusiastic about the food they were serving. The Musakhan wrap with the garlic dip was A+ Would love to come back next time I’m in SLC.Thank you 🙏🏼
