Luigi's Restaurant on Main St is a hidden gem for Italian cuisine! 🍝 The atmosphere is casual yet cosy, perfect for a family night or a solo dinner. I devoured their rich spaghetti carbonara and couldn’t resist the tiramisu for dessert - absolutely divine!

Service was impressively fast, making it an ideal stop for lunch. Plus, the accessibility features are excellent, accommodating everyone. Don’t overlook their small plates if you want a little of everything. High chairs and kids' menus make it highly family-friendly. Can’t wait to go back! 😊

Still the great Italian restaurant in Akron.
Serves freshly made bread and a menu that includes all sorts of pasta, salad, sandwiches, and pizza.
I recommend getting a pasta with a protein dish (meatball or sausage casserole) with meat sauce if you’re dining for lunch.
Of course there’s carry out but I prefer dining in for fresher food.
The restaurant also includes some nice decor that symbolises city life and a couple of mechanical items that interact a life like structure.
One thing to consider is that this service only accepts cash; therefore, be prepared for this but in case you forget, there’s an ATM provided but it does require a small fee for withdrawal.

Inexpensive and delicious, it was a short wait when I arrived on Sunday evening at 5:00 pm but when I left at 6:30, the queue was halfway down the block.
And for sure, I know why these folks were waiting! I got the salad to start, yes topped with cheese.
Tasty and filling, the small salad is more than enough for one.
For main, I chose the half rigatoni and half ravioli which is covered and cheese, served like baked ziti.
A nice rich sauce, be sure you're wearing the right clothes for this as it does get drippy.
A bit of red pepper flakes brought out the flavor and it was delicious. Have some patience - everything is made fresh.
My salad too 15 minutes and the main course took another 25.
I wasn't rushed by my waitress at all but they definitely want to turn the tables over.

Very very impressed I had the meatball and sausage casserole, both are delicious both were homemade, great texture and flavor and the sauce is outstanding.
Coupled with the fact that Luigi's is not shy with cheese made this a terrific meal I had a salad and a slice of pizza to go along with it and plenty of bread to make sure I got all the sauce.
It's an old timey Pizza slash Italian food shop, and I will stop in every time I am in Akron
