If I could leave a negative review, I would. My visit to this restaurant on June 18, 2024, at 12:27 pm, located on Riverside Drive, was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment we stepped in, we were assaulted by a musty stench reminiscent of a long-abandoned Cheddar's down the street. The table we were seated at greeted us with crumbs strewn carelessly across its surface, a clear sign of neglect. As if that wasn't appalling enough, our lunch took a turn for the worse when a roach boldly crawled onto our cup. Our shock and disgust prompted us to summon the staff, only to be met by a bearded gentleman who claimed to be the manager, yet conveniently omitted his name. His remedy? A remake of our food, offered with the assurance that it would be on the house. Money wasn't the issue. It was about the complete disregard for cleanliness and basic hygiene throughout the entire establishment. The kicker is, they hadn't been open for 2 hours! Previous visits may have been passable, but this experience obliterated any lingering good memories. The sheer audacity of serving food in such disgusting conditions isn't just disappointing but outright reprehensible. Just saying, if you're okay with poor service, dirty tables, roaches sharing your food, and dank smells, come down to Longhorn on Riverside Drive in Macon.
This was a mixed experience. They erred put of ribs, rice and Sam Adam's! The bread was warm and good. We ordered the onions ..we had to ask about them twice so they were not hot when they arrived. I think our waitress was new since she couldn't answer a couple questions. Positive: The steaks were very good.I had the ribeye and my husband had the T-bone. The grilled corn was good. Cons: The loaded baked potato was a real disappointment ..it was definitely NOT loaded. There was a tiny bit of cheese and maybe one piece of an herb.A sad amount of sour cream. When I asked for more, I finally got maybe a tablespoon more.We were charged extra for corn and my husband's Mac and cheese, which we should have expected. We haven't been to one of these in years but only chain restaurants were open, in this area, since it was Palm Sunday.
Tonight at LongHorn on Riverside in Macon, my two daughters were in the bathroom doing a video. They came back to the table and told us that the server (didn’t say which server) walked out the bathroom and didn’t wash her hands and went straight into the kitchen and pass by a wash station. My sister told the manager but never stated which server. He tried his best to deny the action like he was in the restroom with the girls.I’m guessing he went back there and confronted the servers. The server Morgan( pictured) walked up to my daughters and confronted them with hand motions. My niece went off on her.I didn’t even know what happened. My sister called for the manager and he comes over with every excuse in the book and Morgan and her lil crew just laughing and still serving food with unwashed hands.I told him I think it’s your best interest to tell Morgan to stay in the back because I’m not reliable for my actions. The food wasn’t good and burnt BUT Morgan didn’t wash her hands and serving people drinks and food.
