Good vibe and good menu.Great prices for brunch drinks. Our server seemed very overwhelmed and people were receiving their food as others still hadn’t even ordered.Others didn’t receive their food at all.Sort of a mess but great atmosphere and food.I’m sure I’ll be back to give it another try, maybe with a smaller, more manageable party.
I fell in love with this place.A classic neighborhood pub.The decor is industrial with Irish touches but not kitschy.Clearly a neighborhood hangout. They feature rugby matches on the big screen (there are multiple other TVs) which draw an enthusiastic but not rowdy crowd.Plenty of beer, wine, and cocktail selections, and the food is good.I went for brunch (only available on weekends) and had smoked salmon on potato cakes, with an over easy egg added.Delicious.They have Guinness on draft, properly poured.I enjoyed a “snakebite,” which here is a Stella with Magners (Irish) dry cider. In other Irish pubs the beer is Harp, but they don’t have that here.If I lived in this area I’d be a Lochland’s regular.
We have driven by multiple times and keep saying "we should stop in." Finally we did.Ordered a bourbon cocktail that was excellent (I'm a chef who cooks often with bourbon so it was right up my alley.) Friendly service and the food came out hot and fresh. The simplest thing was impressive...the side salad. It wasn't your typically iceberg lettuce. They actually used cut up romaine, sliced onions, grape tomatoes, a cucumber and a nice side portion of dressing.I ordered the lochland burger...I order medium and got well, well done. Some salt and pepper on the thick patty would have gave the overcooked burger some justice. The hash dish was on point. We will return, but next time I'll order medium rare to get a medium burger.😉
