I am from NJ and I can say this place made me feel at home...Very nice staff..every single encounter was beautiful, the food and drinks absolutely delicious...Let's just say I finally found a spot if I want to relax, chill listen to r&b hip hop and reggae and be around some great people.I recommend getting your tickets early to any of their events so you don't miss out on an amazing time.Thank you to the entire staff and owner !
Ordered take out dinners shortly after they opened at around 5:30 or so on a Friday so I expected everything to be fresh. This was not the case.Whiting and shrimp were dry and rubbery as if they had been under a heat lamp for too long.Fried clams were okay.Fried catfish was very salty, must have been some kind of Cajun seasoning on it that was just more salt than anything else. This same seasoning was on the dried up shrimp so it wasn't good anyway.Cabbage was an odd color and tasted weird, mac and cheese had a crusty edge on it that was unbreakable let alone unchewable (obviously old). The cornbread was sweet, almost as if it was a mixture of pound cake and corn meal, and also way too moist.Fries were okay.Service was okay but for some reason the person that was handling the orders felt she should make a point to me that the fried fisherman's platter isn't a dinner it's a platter.Didn't want to discuss something so trivial and stupid so I let it go.Meal made my wife sick and that pretty much guaranteed that this would be the first and last meal we would get from Level 5.Didn't see the point in going back and bringing any of this up with the person cooking, I'd rather write this to review and let those folks know that you got my money once because we wanted to try your place in hopes of getting a good meal nearby.Instead we got what we got and it was awful.I order and pick up lunch for a crew nearly every day and it would have been nice to be able to go to a restaurant in my neighborhood that serves something worth coming back for like the barbecue joint that used to be in that spot.I had them cater several lunches for me and the food was great. Now all I can tell you is good luck with your business but you won't sell me any food ever again. No hard feelings but based on what you served me I won't be back.
Everything had already been organized down to the smallest detail - the exquisite venue, the gorgeous setting, the service.
