New American restaurant, Mexican restaurant
Amazing chips and guacamole! Salmon was wonderful, as were the enchiladas. The only downside is that they were not serving wine (beer was available), and they were out of the corn appetizer.
Wanted to try a new spot in Bushwick for lunch. Read some good reviews so I thought I’d try it. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is nice inside and way more inviting than it’s exterior. Aside from the restaurant being very warm, we thought the place was nice and the service was very good. Ww sat in the window so that we could people watch the wonders of Bushwick. We ordered the carnitas burrito and the spicy shrimp tacos. Both very nice portions and I had to take half the burrito home, which I certainly enjoyed later on.Oh and the maduritos were yummy! Would definitely go back.
It was delightful! I got the Spicy Shrimp Tacos.Three tacos on lightly toasted corn tortillas came with thinly sliced jalapeños, grilled pineapple, and grated yuca (I think). They were refreshing and fillling with just the right amount of food. The slice jalapeños make them a tad spicy, which is balanced by the sweetness of the grilled pineapple. Very delicious combo!! The atmosphere is basic. You come here for the food and the neighborhood, not for an elegant atmosphere. So it's not really a problem. It's a sweet little spot on a quiet corner.Although I've only eaten there once it appears, the menu would be enough to satisfy a regular visitor.I would return!
