A delightful but unassuming gentleman - I'm guessing owner? served us here tonight.
The food was outstanding.
His wine recommendation spot on and the bill a delightful surprise.
The flavours of everything were fresh and well put together.
Unpretentious food but obviously someone had put some thought into how the flavours would work together.
A truly memorable evening.

Chère Vicky, vous avez réussi à percer notre mode de fonctionnement et de réflexion ! Argentine, à la tête du restaurant, est très attentive à ses assemblages de saveurs, et malgré une cuisine authentique, fraîche et "simple" (dans le meilleur sens du terme), elle travaille toujours sur les associations de saveurs, d'épices, de textures, de produits ! Love this place, would definitely go again.
This restaurant is run by a lovely couple who pours their heart and soul into the food and offers it to the world at an affordable price. The entree we got (scallops with mushrooms in a seafood broth) was absolutely breath taking.
The freshness and umami made us crave for more as we cleaned the plate with the bread. The mains were also spectacular with the blood pudding having an amazingly soft and smooth center wrapped by a super crispy skin.
This coupled with the potatos and apples left you wanting more as the sweetness and acidity of the apple cut through the decadent blood pudding.
The beef bourguignon was so so tender not even requiring us to use a knife at all. But the real star of the show was the dessert.
The chocolate cake is an absolute to die for.
The richness of the moist dark chocolate cake combined with the lightness of the creme anglaise and pistachio ice cream is absolutely divine. Next time I come back to Paris, this will be for sure on my list!

This place is amazing.
The chef/owner is creating amazing dishes in the kitchen while her husband is an incredible host.
Super cool guy, great English, truly passionate about food and wine.
I had the best time and meal last night.
They care so much about where they source ingredients and wine.
I had the beef tartare which came with some hot sauces which I’ve never tried before but they were all really good!! The appetizers were phenomenal.
The whipped cream fruit cake was divine.
I haven’t written many reviews since I’ve been eating my way through Paris but this restaurant was exceptional.
They are truly passionate.

Dear David, just "Wooow" and thank you for your honest review ! I saw, by talking with you during your meal and facing your satisfaction, that you were enjoying your dinner, but this review is a really firework for Argentine & myself ! Yes, we know and choose by ourselves all our "raw materials", and yes, I taste and test all the wines before adding them to our menu (hard job, hard job...
:-) ).
Finally, it seems to be easy ! Fresh products with quality, homemade cooking even for a simple sauce, and pleasure of hosting. Thx again for your kindness ! Argentine & Patrick
