One of the fastest services I've ever had for food.Ordered two Carne asada tacos and a Carne asada torta and got my food within 7 minutes.Hot and delicious, goes great with their salsa Verde. They have a few vegetarian selections.Ask if they cook their food in pig fat. The location is necessarily the best, the area is a little tough but I've yet to have any problems. Good place to grab mexican food and go.
Outdoor seating only, so cold, rain wind and heat must be considered.Great prices on plates, burritos and such.My chili Verde (pictured) was $7.The restaurant has been open for years and is almost always a bit busy.We visit 2 or 3 times a month.
Review written during COVID-19, onsite / takeout order. Thank you to everyone at La Costa for showing up and helping out at such times! ================================== Friday's have turned into Mexican nights - so it doesn't matter where we are we try to look for local Mexican places to eat. Orders: bean and cheese burrito, wet veggie burrito, pastor tacos Food: since we ordered and got it to go ASAP, the food was hot! It's always nice to have hot takeout. Pastor tacos: come as smaller tacos - with a heap of meat. The flavors were there, seems like everyone has their own pastor recipe. This was good, but we've had better. Not sure if they have a spit in the back, but it was a bit dry. Wet Burrito: this comes with green sauce, which is really runny.Again good flavor, but makes for a very soggy experience. The filling was well balanced, good portion of beans, rice, etc.But the burrito sat in a watery sauce, which was hard to pull through the burrito fixings. Bean Burrito: typical, beans were bland, and runny as well. The burrito was wrapped up onto itself, more like a bean roll, than a wrapped bean burrito. Overall: they had a good selection, I think everyone has their own taste profiles and we may have ordered the wrong things here. But glad we were able to keep our new Friday tradition.
