Mexican restaurant, Brunch restaurant
If you are expecting free chips and salsa, you will be disappointed as they charge for everything except water. The service here was okay. Some of the younger servers were a bit preoccupied with talking to each other. The atmosphere was good. The kids' meal is really small for $9.All of the food is a bit overpriced. The chicken in the enchiladas was dry.The birria taco was good, and the red tamale was delicious. The rice was underwhelming, and the beans were spicy and strange tasting. The rice and beans portions were also pretty small. Overall, I wouldn't really recommend this place.I'm not a resident, so it might be one of the better spots in Tucson when you take the presentation and atmosphere into account.I have had way better Mexican food for half the price.
It's weird. It feels kinda like a restaurant that's trying to be hip and cool, if what was hip and cool was decided by corporate executives. It seems more a space for an event dinner rather than just a dinner.Like, it's bright. And loud.Looks great on Insta. You want a place to celebrate a birthday with sparklers and tequila shots, this is the place. If you want a nice dinner, though, then it might not be the spot for you.
Obviously this place was amazing, as all the five stars say it is.The food was good, and service was perfect. We were recommended it by another full time traveler. Not a fan of it being a brunch spot til 3.Wish they had some more options for “lunch”
