My food tonight was great, with the typical flavors of my bella Honduras! I had the carne asada dish, I wish there will be more consistent with the preparation of the dishes ( flavor and freshness sometimes are off to what the dish supposed to taste and looks like )
How do you rate La Ceiba; it's not really for the food, it's not for the location (it's in half of a service station), it's not for the service (it's more of a bar than a restaurant), it's not for the ambiance (it has blaring Latin music), but the overall experience, we loved it.It put a smile on our face! It's like taking a Latin American vacation just outside of Memphis; how cool is that.OK, the food was very good too.I mean, where else can you get a whole fried fish in the area (maybe you can, we we're just driving through)? They had whole fried Red fish (not Snapper or Pargo), but a whole fried fish is hard to find.It came with plantains, beans with rice, fresh cheese, and salad.A lot of food! Everything was really well prepared. The fish was just a little over cooked for our taste, but I expect that this would be just right for many others.(Our mistake, we didn't let them know how well done to cook the fish).Overall, we loved this place, but it might not be for everyone. If you want to get an idea of what a little restaurant on the coast of Central America feels like, this might be your place.Friday night, lots of laughter, loud music, beers flowing, why not.Have fun!
My order total was 16.74 plus tax and she told me it was 24.00 and my daughters was supposed to be 22.00 and she charged them 44.00.For 2 quesadillas and a pupusas and a water and 2 soft drinks…..wouldn’t give us a receipt with what we were paying for.Waitress wasn’t friendly at all and we didn’t even have a refill 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫!!! My advice is to watch your money! Will never be back…i work hard for my money as well…not ok!!!
