My family ordered takeout for lunch on 7-20-24.
This evening for whatever reason I was thinking about the disappointment of what I had at lunch.
I looked at the reviews of this establishment and they are mixed.
So I'm going to leave my non- biased review only on what I had ordered.
I cannot comment on the atmosphere or friendliness of staff as other reviews have. I ordered the rib sandwich.
No fries as we were told they were out.
My first impression after opening the foil it was wrapped in was what the flip is this.
It was a piece of white sandwich bread with about a quarter of a slab of ribs with another slice of white sandwich bread smashed to the bottom of the ribs.
I don't believe they were boiled as one review stated.
They felt and appeared to be baked in an oven or possibly cooked on a charcoal grill (though they didn't have a grilled smell).
Dry around the edges with absolutely no seasoning whatsoever.
They definitely weren't smoked.
They didn't have a smoke smell or any smoke ring at all.
The barbecue sauce that was provided was pretty good.
My suggestion to the restaurant if they read this review.
Put a little effort into your product.
Yes, it seems to be popular with the locals, but maybe they haven't had a good rib sandwich.
This shouldn't even be listed on the menu as rib sandwich just because it comes with a side of two thin slices of sandwich bread.
A rib sandwich would be bone in or boneless with the minimum served on a bun or best on a roll, and baby back ribs work better than spare ribs.
I was very disappointed as you can tell by the long review.
If you made it reading this far I'd pass on the rib sandwich. Thanks

I first tried this food a year ago.
But the last three months I’ve tried them and the food and cleanliness of the establishment is very disappointing.
Chicken wings smell old.
No seasoning on anything.
BBQ too tough to eat.
Pork chops horrible.
At this point close and fix the issues and come back better.
No one should eat here until yawl do better.

I’ve been wanting to give this place a try for a while and this experience was very underwhelming.The customer service was pleasant and ordering was quick.
I was banking on the chicken and dressing being flavorful and delicious.
This is the most under-seasoned smothered chicken I’ve had.
Plain shredded white meat covered in gravy atop dressing. The yams are mashed like mashed potatoes and the Mac and cheese very is pale; though it was the most seasoned item on the plate.
