Kazumi

I'm leaving tomorrow to go to grad school out of the country, but I knew that I had to stop by Kazumi before I leave because I just know that there won't be sushi as good as this wherever I go.
My family and I have been eating sushi from here for a little more than a year, and if I could describe the sushi, I would say that it is the freshest, most delicious sushi I've ever had for way more affordable prices than you can find elsewhere.
Kazumi and John have such generosity of spirit, both in how they prepare the food and how they treat their customers.
It's always a pleasure to order food from here, great communication and kindness from start to finish.
Portland is very lucky to have them.
I will really miss their sushi but am already looking forward to returning during winter break.

Had Midori, creepy crawl, St John, salmon avocado, Cali, Cheech Chong, and udon.
All did NOT disappoint. The texture of the rice, the proportions and portions, the service/hospitality....
So glad Chef Kazumi and Mr John do what they do. No wonder the reviews are what they are.
Definitely will be back. Update: Went back the next day w about double the order.
Quality and care not a fluke.

Wowza! The quality here is on another level! The pumpkin roll is delish, just like everything else, but the little sesame balls really stole the show! July ‘22 Edit: I swear this place keeps getting better and better.
Kazumi is an absolute master of her craft.
Hands down beats Bamboo.
I recommend the Midori and the Cheech and Chong.
