Restaurant, Bubble tea store, Pho restaurant, Tea house
I had things to do out in this neighborhood and had to try this place out.I had the P1 Special Pho with a side of A2 Pork and Shrimp spring rolls and a Strawberry Fruit Boba Tea with rainbow jelly. The broth tasted pretty good.It was rich in flavor. The noodles were soft, There was a lot of tendon, meat and meatballs that tasted good. And the condiments for the pho were fresh. The spring rolls had good flavors and tasted fresh, Peanut sauce dip that came with salad rolls tasted good too.The way that it was wrapped does need some improvements to be wrapped tighter, because it kinda fell apart after the first bite. The Strawberry Boba with rainbow jelly, tasted really sweet and the rainbow jelly was good...I would recommend trying this place out, I saw that they do have other foods that look good, will have to try out the next time.
This place is my lil sisters favorite spot and my mom as well.I enjoyed the food but the chicken was a tad to salty in the salad dish. The meat was a little chewy in the pho as well but the broth was delicious I made mine spicier with chili oil and Sriracha (the chili oil had more flavour than spice, which is even better). I will not give a lower rating as service is always important and everytime I have came here the service is awesome. These notes on the food are just constructive advice. Thank you guys for being your delicious food to the neighborhood!!!
My local friends were very supportive of this restaurant because the owner is native north portlander who continues to support her community. It’s not my first time eating Sassy’s the first time I got Pho and it was great, I also had boba for the first time in a Thai tea and enjoyed it! This time my lunch carry out order was pork vermicelli bowl.I almost got a Thai tea again but the total came to $21.I felt I could not spend that on lunch just for myself so I opted out of the drink for vermicelli pork bowl at $15- did not match googles menu price(see their website for updated prices) I felt this was expensive for me but got it anyway. The customer service was very friendly. When I opened my to go order at home I was kind of shocked and displeased… the pork was dyed red.I felt like I should have just called and complained but I was very hungry and I ate it, every bite. The meal was really good.I always love vermicelli a perfect mix of comfort but not too filling. The dressing is the perfect light flavor to go on the noodles and the salad. There weren’t many spring rolls, maybe two? The photo does not include a nice side of broth that I didn’t expect but I thought that was a very nice touch. My only drop in stars was the food dye… it feels low quality to me a lot of kids are allergic to red dye 40 and I wanted to share this with my toddler but I didn’t.I don’t think it’s necessary and doesn’t really make it look good when they noodles are dyed from your meat… however it did taste good.I just worry if they dye their food what else are they willing to compromise quality wise on?
