I’m giving them a 5 star for the price and the tastiness of an $8 burger and fries which is unheard in Seattle! I’ve been here many times and never thought about joining them for food and happy hour. It’s so cheap for their daily specials and the burger was delicious. You couldn’t go wrong with it and their secret sauce was delish. They have a huge outdoor area and you can even bring your pup (which I did).Nice spot for an outdoor area to enjoy HH drinks and the sun.The inside is quite large too and I’ve been there to watch sporting events and it’s a fun atmosphere.Check out their daily specials, wing night on Mondays for $.75 per wing, Tuesday $8 burger and fries, Wednesday $8 Toasty which is cheese sandwich and tomato soup, Thursday $10 Aussie Parma or schnitzel. It’s all sounds like a good deal! I’ll be back for other items on their HH list. The waiter was nice too! No complaints and it wasn’t busy on a Tuesday afternoon at 4.I’m sure it’s busy on big events and weekends.Fun spot!
This was an amazing find for dinner. We were looking for food prior to seeing our show at the Tractor Tavern. The night was dark, rainy, and windy. The building was not well lit from the exterior compared to other buildings on the block. We decided to give it a chance. We were not disappointed. Housed in an old library, Kangaroo and Kiwi is a gem of an eatery. When you first enter the building you climb a flight of stairs to enter into the main pub area.We walked past the door to family-friendly seating area on the right.Once seated, there is a QR code for the menu on the table along with your table number. You will need the table number when you order your food up at the bar.We started with the Cheese curds upgraded to Poutine. These were fabulous and could be a meal on their own.The gravy was so rich and flavorful. Our main dishes choice was the Loaded Aussie Meat Pie - Aussie beef pie topped with mashed potatoes, grilled pepper and onions, gravy and bacon.Another favorite. The food was perfect on that cold dreary night. We will be back in a few weeks!
You love beer - great! You love the atmosphere - great! Kiwi and Kangaroo is the place for you! This cute beer garden is more than a pub; it's a restaurant with plenty of pub-style fairs that will please even the pickiest of eaters. The menus and drink selection are large. The outdoor area is quaint and dog-friendly.Our bartender was kind and allowed us to sample beers to select an appropriate drink for the afternoon. The only downside is parking, but if you find a spot, bring some friends and a board game; you're certain to have a great time! :)
