Mexican restaurant
Javierâs in the Westfield Century City mall on Santa Monica Boulevard is a great dining experience for special occasions, especially if you enjoy high end Mexican cuisine. With the LA dining scene, it seems like people donât always think of Mexican for fancy high end dinners, but at Javierâs the average entree is around $50 and they were packed! For a starter, I absolutely loved the creamy smooth guacamole for $18; some of the best guacamole Iâve ever had. However, the first round of chips was better than the second round. The Tomahawk Pork Chop ($46) with mashed potatoes and vegetables were delish, and the pork didnât even need the sauce smoky steak sauce that accompanied it. Components have Tulum vibes, and I love all of the attention to detail with the decor, from the flat fountains throughout the restaurant to the restroom. Itâs a great event space for special occasions, and it seemed like there were multiple celebrations happening around the restaurant. Our server Gonzalo had good recommendations and a nice good laugh.
Very fine upscale Mexican restaurant.Food drinks and service are outstanding. This is just not any âotherâ Mexican restaurant. The prices might be a bit steep but you get what you pay for.The atmosphere creation is maybe one of the more successful even though it might tend into the overdone or a set of Zorro in the 1950s, it is worth the experience 100%. The prices are high due to the use of noble ingredients and is what makes it special.Try the more exotic choices and you will not be disappointed.
Javierâs is right in the heart of west La at the Westfield Century City mall. This place is always a vibe.Everytime I come, there are tons of people. This time we came for dinner around the holidays so there were holiday work parties going on, it was loud and very festive. The staff was nice and sat us down next to the heat lamps which was great because itâs partly outside. We ordered the chips & salsa, guacamole, Seafood Quesadillas, Trio de Enchiladas Del Mar, a shrimp dish, steak, the Noche azul martini, margarita, and flan for dessert. The food was delicious and the drink Noche azul martini was just ok. I ended up getting sick the next day from the food so not sure what caused it, but I would still come again and be a little more cautious with what I order. This is a really fun place to come to with friends or a date ;-)
