Island Fin Poke Co - Summerlin

I do not recommend coming around dinner time!!!!! I’m so disappointed because this place used to be our favorite, but after our experience last night I’m not sure if we’ll come back.
Usually we come in around lunch time and there’s a young woman working and her kid or younger brother hanging around.
She’s great and our food has always been delicious. Last night, we came in at 8pm (an hour before closing).
It was a young man working that we haven’t seen before.
He gave us what was left of the white rice which was a bit crunchy and stale.
He couldn’t fill up my fiancés bowl with the normal amount of rice since he said they were out, and he asked if my fiancé wanted brown rice for the rest of the bowl but we said it was fine.
Later, we saw another customer come in and he gave her fresh white rice… I understand that they have to use all their ingredients and it’s the end of the night, but I wish he would’ve offered my fiancé fresh white rice to finish his bowl instead of saying they were out. Then, they’ve changed something with the TV menu displays so that the picture changes frequently and you can’t see all of the menu at once.
We always make our own bowls, so every time the display changed (every few seconds or so), I had to stop my order and wait for the menu to come back on the screen.
I couldn’t just look at the ingredients because they aren’t labeled on the glass, and I wanted to make sure I knew exactly what I was getting.
The worker wasn’t super helpful with this either. Next, probably the worst part.
Again, I understand it’s the end of the night and they want to use up all their ingredients.
My fiancé asked for edamame and instead of scooping it, the worker dumped the rest of the edamame from the container AND ALL OF THE LIQUID AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CONTAINER into my fiancés bowl.
I thought maybe he would dump the liquid or it would be okay once all the sauces got mixed in, but the bottom of my fiancés poke bowl was SOUPY!!! It was disgusting.
He couldn’t even finish, and if the owner goes to check the cameras you’ll see my fiancé literally had to go to the bathroom to dump the excess liquid because it was so gross. The man working seemed like a high schooler maybe and we didn’t want to make a fuss so close to closing, but this is just a word of warning that their employee training seems a little bit inconsistent.
I’d recommend going during peak hours instead of close to closing.
It was just disappointing to spend ~$40 and not even be able to finish or enjoy our bowls.
And again, we’ve never had an issue before and have loved the food and service, but it was just not it tonight. I attached some photos of the bottom of my fiancés bowl, this was AFTER he dumped out the excess liquid so it doesn’t look nearly as bad.
I wish I got a photo before, it was literally soup at the bottom.

I’ve loved this place in the past and absolutely adore the owner who is engaging, kind and personable.
Today I came in and ordered my usual, but the owner wasn’t there.
I was served by a female worker and I don’t know if I have just been given more in the past and wasn’t supposed to, but my bowl came with 1.5 scoops of spicy tuna tonight which was disappointing.
I thought I was just wrong so I moved around the toppings and definitely see that I didn’t get my usual amount of tuna.
Sad to see that my favorite poke spot may be going downhill.

Today was my first time having poke, and the girl who was the opener was super nice and helpful during the build your own bowl process.
I feel like nowadays when you go out try a new place and ask the employee about the menu/ordering process, they tend to act like you're bothering them or making them go out of their way to do something for you.
Thankfully I had a welcoming experience and amazing food, I will be back soon!
