Iron Skillet Restaurant

Lots of restaurants claim to cook home style meals, but this the most authentic made from scratch at home style food I have had anywhere.
The chicken gets super high praise from every one that tried it.
I had steak and the cut was good, minimal seasoning, very on point to the style of the restaurant.
We also got the shrimp and it was explained that I was the best she had ever tried anywhere.
Icecream with topping for dessert and true old fashion vanilla ice cream.
The host is an amazing nkce and pernoble gentleman that brought it all together.
Overall a great experience.
Can't wait to go back.

Staff was very nice, but I think understaffed for the night.
Pretty slow cadence of getting food.
It was also 5:30 (just after opening) and they were out of tomato juice and several ice cream.
Tilapia and sides were great.
Rolls tasted fine but were rock solid, not baked well.
Fun food and atmosphere, not sure worth the price point.
Very sweet staff though, appreciate their kindness.

I'm not one to leave a review, but oh my...this is one of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant.
It took a hour+ to receive our food after being seated.
The chicken was dry and unseasoned.
It seems like there was only one waitress for the entire building and 1 bus boy, so service was quite slow.
Opted to split a meal with a friend and still ended up with a $50+ check! We were expecting it to be around $25 as the menu said.
I didn't want most of the food so we wanted to share instead of having to pay the full amount.
They charged me $15 for my half and the full $24ish for his.
I only ate about 2 pieces of chicken, a roll, and some corn.
The price is for a full 3 course meal.
A appetizer, a meal, and dessert.
They also included their own tip.
A tip of around 35% which is insane.
They didn't disclose that they would be doing that either.
They brought us our bill at the end with the extra 35% tip added on as a surprise.
I will not be going back!
