Imanas Tei is a hidden gem in Honolulu! We visited for a late dinner without a reservation, but they happily seated us at the bar. The firecracker salmon nigiri was a must-try - smoky and rich, while the sashimi platter was fresh and flavorful, especially the yellowtail.
I was a bit let down by the chankonabe; it was tasty but not as hefty as I expected, and cooking it ourselves was a little tedious. The udon on the house was a nice touch!
Despite the minor hiccup, the service was friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely come back for more sushi! 🍣✨
