Hill’s Kitchen

This is my new favorite spot.
They make a little bit of everything.
Well, at least things that I like 😆.
It is set up for take-out, but if you are looking for a good southern style, soul food spot, this is a place I would recommend.

Not from New Haven but just out there to go to a store.
I drove pass this restaurant but I could smell the food from inside.
I had to stop what I was doing and turn around, me and my daughter.
I kid you not that was the smartest change of plans that I ever did.
Let me tell you.
When you walk into the restaurant ok i understand why the food is to go.
Let me tell you baby.
Once you get any of their dinners you gonna wanna be home or some where comfortable.
Because “baby” you’re gonna need to relax.
Their food is so amazing.
I mean when they say (Food so good you wanna slap yo momma) eating from Hills Kitchen will make you want too.
I mean everything is amazing the pork chops, chicken, rib, I could name more but I want anyone everyone to go see what I’m talking about for their selves.
Lord knows God bless the cooks in the back God really put some good people with great talents in the right spot.
This is their calling hunny, and I want to give a big thank you and your amazing to Kim that works there, she gave me and my daughter great service and she’s an amazing cook.
But listen I know my review is long I know because I could go on and on about how good their food is but yall gotta try it for a yall selves.
DO YOU HEAR ME YOU GOTTA CHECK THIS RESTAURANT OUT HUNNY.
Look food so good I’m gonna take this hour drive again to come straight here to get more food.
That’s how amazing their food is.
Five stars is what I give them if they had more I would give more stars.
I’m serious go check them out and when you go there say Ebony and Lauryn sent you.
( Please go run, skip, drive, hop I don’t care just go there and try their amazing food I’m telling you your gonna wanna come back.
So next weekend I will be here again yes Sir’.

I ordered a pork chop dinner which I waited 15-20 minutes which was not a problem I know sometimes it takes an extra minute to get food right.
When I got my dinner the 2 pork chops must have been the 2 that were sitting around since lunch time.
I went there about 6.
They were dried out to the point where the coating on the top side was touching the coating of the bottom side.
And what sad about that is they had to see that but still put in the dinmer.
The collard greens were loaded with sugar and I didn't bother eating the yams in fear of more disappointment.
I just threw the whole dinner away, because I figured I would eat the chicken rasta pasta I ordered as well and the chicken in the rasta pasta had no flavor.
I wouldn't even call it chicken rasta pasta.
It was more like chicken Alfredo.
I threw that away too.
$36 wasted .
If you wonder why I didn't just bring it back..
it is because I live in Danbury and was just passing through New Haven.
Needless to say I won't go back there or recommend anybody else to go there.
Only positive I could say is the people were pleasant but that went by the wayside when they gave me my order
