September 05, 2024I recently tried Golden Gate in the Bronx after hearing some mixed reviews. Honestly, I'm still on the fence! I ordered chicken egg foo young and the pork fried rice, both of which gave me nostalgic vibes of classic NYC Chinese takeout. The atmosphere is casual, perfect for a quick bite.
However, I had to wait about 20 minutes for my order, and while the service was friendly, my food was a touch disappointing. The flavors lacked the punch I expected. I think I’ll give them another shot, maybe for lunch and see if it’s better... 🤔
