September 02, 2024Golden Chick is a casual fast food spot on Altamesa Blvd that offers a decent selection for a quick bite. I swung by for some fried chicken and was pleasantly surprised by the piping hot rolls - definitely a highlight! 🍞
The chicken was fresh but could use a bit more seasoning; I opted for the mild, but it tasted a bit plain. The catfish fillets were cooked perfectly but also lacked flavor.
The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the manager who ensured my large party order was correct. It’s an inexpensive option for catering too! Just wished the chicken had that southern kick... Overall, a nice stop if you keep your expectations realistic! 🍗
