Ordered my food through uber eats and that was probably my first and last mistake.I’ve lived in new york all my life and never been to a Caribbean restaurant that serves romaine lettuce and tomato on the side instead of cabbage… The jerk chicken was very dry and not well seasoned, the only part of the chicken that had the seasoning on it was the skin. The rice and peas were stale and also dry. They also forgot our side order of plantains on both plates. For $16 per (surprisingly small) plate this was disappointing. The only thing saving this review is the doubles with meat, which were actually very flavorful.
Nostrand Ave in Brooklyn always has a row of really amazing West Indian and Caribbean restaurants and Gee's did not disappoint.Their doubles were amazing - perfectly seasoned with the sauce leaking thru the parchment paper.I ordered just the plain vegetarian doubles and the pumpkin roti. The roti was enormous so I couldn't eat it all in one setting and had leftovers for the next day.One thing I really liked about this place is they actually took cards and Apple/Google pay since there're a couple places nearby that are cash only.Apparently they also serve alcohol as well. While I didn't try any of their drinks this visit, I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.

Thank you so much Miyishia, please come again!
This place is great for roti and more!! I got a sorrel drink (which I’ve never had before) and it really complements the spice of the curry.I highly recommend Gee’s for doubles as well, especially if you don’t want to wait in line for Trinidad (there only $1 more here, accept card, and are comparable quality to Trinidad).Overall happy to have Gees in my neighborhood!
