It’s the wurst! Seriously, some of the best wurst, period. For reasons I do not understand, quality, delicious Bavarian/Austrian food is becoming harder and harder to find. Yet, on the Route 66 era streets of Southern California is an absolute gem. Expertly crafter, house made sausage, meats, sides and more. The German potato salad alone is worth a trip. Go! Go now! NOW!
I recently dined at Gazzolo’s Sausage and was quite disappointed with my experience.While I was looking forward to enjoying some authentic German cuisine, the visit was marred by the owner’s inappropriate behavior. Firstly, the owner “Jay” seemed more interested in discussing politics than focusing on customer service.This made the atmosphere uncomfortable and detracted from the dining experience.I believe that a restaurant should be a place where customers can relax and enjoy their meal without being subjected to unsolicited political opinions. Additionally, the food quality did not meet my expectations.The service was also lacking, with long wait times and inattentive staff. Overall, I hope the management can focus more on improving the dining experience and less on personal agendas.I would not recommend this restaurant based on my recent visit.
From the outside I thought this place was closed down and abandoned, for years! Today I just found out it was actually open 😱 , the entrance is in the back… Let’s talk food! It was delicious! Freshly made and lots of flavors, the pastrami was the best and the German potato salad was amazing, never had anything like that before! The restaurant was so cute even up to the plates and it was clean and the Air conditioner was crisp.Service was great, our waiter was nice and attentive.We will be back to try other items.
