Da paura! We came here because we're in the area but damn everything was delightful (from pasta to steak to dessert to wine) and the service was delightful.Highly recommended.
G2 Food and Mixology is a MUST restaurant visit if you are in Rome. The food and service are fantastic. You must try it. Let me share my culinary foodgasm with you all, so you will want to experience it for yourself and I’m telling you, it won’t disappoint. The place is beautiful, with a nice relaxing atmosphere. We started our tour with some wine as it should. Half the party decided to drink white (Bianco) wine and the other half red (Rosso). The white was light, floral, and just a hint of sweetness. The red was a cabernet, great with the charcutier board and aperitive. Both wines were from a local vineyard and that would explain why they were great. The spread of Salami, Coppola, Prosciutto, cheeses, is a great antipasto with the wine to prep you for what is about to come. Something that you must try are the stuff olives (Ascolana) and the rice balls (Arancini). They’re deep fry deliciousness, and that’s why you there for to experience food that you have not try before. Now that I have your attention and got your tongue, and senses all roll up, is time for the main course, pond intended. My dish was Pasta amatriciana, a local roman dish that uses tomato but is far from just a regular tomato sauce. It uses guanciale which is ham from the pigs’ cheeks and is cured like Prosciutto, so it adds a whole different dimension to the dish. My sister ordered cacio e pepe pasta while my brother-in-law ordered Carbonara. We all shared bytes from each other to taste and it was a mini tour of Rome we were enjoying. You can really taste the passion, thoughts, effort, and pride the chef puts behind each dish. When you have people that really enjoy what they do, it manifests in what they do, and it shows in the food we enjoyed. After giving ourselves some time, it was time for dessert.I’ll be honest, I don’t remember the dessert’s name, but I believe it was a panna cotta. We did a similar thing for dessert where each of us ordered one different so we could share and taste. They were perfectly balanced and not sugary. After all that wonderful journey of culinary delights, thrills, experiences, we arrived at the Digestivi or after meal drink called Amari. They have a great selection from North to South that you can taste from.My suggestion is you tell them a bit about your palette and let them drive the bus and enjoy the ride. I forgot to mention that they specialize in meats, which I’ll have to come back for that experience. Go check it out for yourself and let me know how it went, grazie.
Ristorante con qualità del cibo ottima! Relativamente nuovo, con interni curati, puliti e nuovi.Servizio molto cordiale e rapido. Consiglio!
