Five guys, five stars. It was my first time trying the Five Guys in their “home”, USA.The UK one is great and visited many times but I was curious to see how would the US be and the difference between them.To be honest, same structure, standards, tasty, not much difference at all.Burger is as great as could be, excellent fries, mayonnaise available. All same standard and all very good.
I ordered a bacon burger and a regular fry online.I didn't click the link to let them know I was on the way so my fries were not done when I got there. That's my fault.I wasn't in a rush so I was fine with waiting. The restaurant was clean and I was acknowledged upon entering. My food was hot and fresh. My burger was made correctly.I'll never get over paying $20 for a burger & fries.5 Guys is definitely a once in a while treat for me.It'd be nice if they had a points program or something similar.
Your average Five Guys decor, but with a very poor floor design that uses an abymsal amount of space for seating.Prices are what you'd expect which is around $13-15 just for a burger and another $7 for fries. They always try to upsell you on a shake, but unfortunately I didn't feel like spending $30+ on a simple meal today.Food was done in about 8 minutes. As always Five Guys has tremendously delectable food, but they're always empty for a reason.I do have one gripe and it's that the cheese wasn't fully melted.Part of the reason for this is because they pushed the food out of the door without letting it sit for a few minutes so that the bun can soak up the burger's juices and the cheese has time to heat up.They also threw the cheese on last minute (possibly not while the burger was on the grill.) At least the bacon double cheeseburger wasn't disappointing. It's insane that even the pickles are good.
