We were referred here by an acquaintance. We decided to stop here in today for the first time.We were greeted warmly and our party of 6 was seated immediately. Our server, Matt, took very good care of us.We ordered two sides million dollar bacon & a blueberry lemon cornbread to share. We ordered the power wrap, ham & gruyere sandwich, Cobb salad with ranch, the Trifecta with bacon and pancakes, the traditional plate with bacon and pork link sausages with sweet teas and a sprite to drink. The food is very fresh and extremely delicious. The blueberry cornbread is very good and the lemon butter brings out the flavor. I would highly recommend coming here to eat. It's worth it and the prices are reasonable. We will come back to try the other food items.
The food is very fresh and delicious. Portion sizes were large. Our waitress was very helpful, attentive and friendly. We visited during lunch on a Friday. It was very busy but the crowd cleared out by the time we left. I highly recommend this place.
When you first enter the building, the noise level hits you in the face like a baseball bat. There is no noise absorbing anything, and the design of the space is quite cacophonic. You step up to the hostess station and ask for a table. Before you can even finish your sentence, Christina asks for your name and phone number. Why the phone number, especially if there is no waiting? I don't even give my phone number out on the fourth date, why would I give it to her? I was saved by Susana, a beautiful Hispanic waitress who greatly took care of me for the duration of my meal. Susana showed me to my table and brought me a pitcher of black coffee, silverware, and the menus. I couldn't hear my thoughts the noise was so annoying. The whole ambiance was off. Who wants that noise for breakfast? It felt like being in a crowded train station, with people walking all over the place. I like my breakfast to be in a relaxing and quite atmosphere; so, if you are like me, avoid this place. I started looking at the menu and it was so bougee and Gen Z liberal that I almost walked out. What happened to scrambled eggs, meat side, and hash browns? I settled for the simplest omelet, the ham and Gruyere with a side of potatoes. Let me tell you what I was served, instead. The omelet was describes as being made with cage-free eggs, but that is a lie. My omelet was made with industrial liquid eggs that hadn't seen a pinch of salt or pepper since their conception. The ham was a wad of think sliced ham folded in half and just stuffed into the flavorless omelet, as you can see from the picture I am sharing. The Gruyere? A slice of Swiss cheese on top of the omelet. No other cheese inside, not shredded, not cubed, not sliced...nada. The potatoes were the only thing with some flavor, but half were very hard (raw) and half were soft (cooked). The toast was awful. One of those brown breads with seeds in it that tasted like cardboard. It came without any jelly, just fake butter. The price of this great meal? $18.12 The best part was Susana! She checked on me often, and was very polite. If you want a great American breakfast, go to M&D Pancakes on Yadkin. It is an old diner, nothing fancy, but it is quiet, and the omelets are to die for.
