Filippi's Pizza Grotto Kearny Mesa is a nice little gem! The portions are incredibly generous, perfect for sharing or taking leftovers home.
The food is delicious and very affordable, especially considering the amount of food you get.
Plus, there's ample parking available, making it a breeze to get in and out.
I highly recommend this spot for a casual and satisfying Italian meal! We tried wings, pizza, salad, lasagna, and more.
They were all good!

Husband had pizza cravings one night and ordered delivery.
Scheduled it for the next afternoon and it came just in time. He got the Vegetarian Pizza with Pepperoni. Really good pizza! Good amount of toppings, and also good amount of cheese.
They put the veggies and pepperoni first and then the cheese on top with wad a little weird tbh. Cheese seemed to come off the top when biting into the slice.
Would have been perfect if the cheese was under the toppings. Thick fluffy crust which was really crispy when reheated in the air fryer.
Good even 2 days later!

I feel badly about leaving a poor review but the food we had here was genuinely not good.
The veggies on the pizza were uncooked it seemed, and there was virtually no flavor/seasonings on anything.
It was not made with any effort (or love) in my opinion.
Unfortunately I would not recommend this location to anyone!
