I found this spot on Google because I wanted to try something different in the city.
I walked in and noticed it was a nice quaint spot.
The atmosphere was very nice.
The staff was very pleasant.
But I must say the food was delicious and awesome.
They gave huge portions so much so that I couldn't eat it all and had to take it with me.
I had the crab dip as shown in the pics.
It was tasty.
I loved it.
I also had the brisket, mac and cheese, and shrimp thingy.
That was great.
As I stated, the portion was huge.
It was suggested by my server, Lindsay, who was wonderful, might I add.
My friend had red beans and rice, and I tasted a sample, and that was good.
They have a nice menu of other things I want to try, so I will certainly be back.

Ethel’s delivers exceptional value, a mountain of delicious seafood and sausages for only $21.
Usually the liquid is the main star of gumbo.
At Ethel’s, it’s milder, a supporting character to enhance the flavors of the protein.
The food’s warm, nourishing, and gentle.
And, somehow, you don’t get tired of it. The atmosphere’s charming and well taken care of.
Everything’s spick and span. The service needs to be a bit slower paced, though.
It is well-intentioned, meant to be highly attentive.
However, when plates get cleared without asking as soon as they’re emptied, and then the check gets dropped as soon as everyone finished their food, it can come across as softly kicking us out of the restaurant. Overall, a highly recommended dining destination in Baltimore.

Hello there, Chef Ed here, thank you so much for your kind words.
That may be one of the most eloquent reviews I have ever read in my life, bravo I also will Certainly speak to my staff about pace.
Thank you for your input.
Bon appétit.

This was my first time visiting the establishment.
The atmosphere was great, and the service was wonderful.
Hats off to the chef.
The food was awesome.
You have to try the cornbread with the honey and chive butter.
I had the cream of crab with chunks of crabmeat.
I also had the shrimp jambalaya.
Overall, the food was really good.
Will visit again.
