Always great food and friendly service!! Def worth going out of my way for lol!! 😁🤤🤤 I also highly recommend the nachos, I just didn't have a pic to share atm 😁😘 Very small inside, so not ideal for a large group to dine in, but I'm usually grabbing mine on my way home from work, so always to go lol
Stopped into Emilio's for lunch the other day. What a fantastic little restaurant.I ordered the Street Taco plate and selected Pastor, Cabeza, and Asada as my meat. They were fantastic.Absolutely fantastic. The corn tortillas were warm and soft yet didn't fall apart.Side veggies were fresh and tasty.Rice and beans were also very good.I washed it all down with a Strawberry Horchata.I've never had one before so I can't compare it to anything but it was fantastic.Lots of chunks of strawberry to eat after finishing the liquid portion of the drink. Emilio's is a smaller place but the food, service, and atmosphere of the restaurant were all great.I will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
I give Emilio's 5 stars for the hot dogs alone. The Sonoran dog is bacon-wrapped with grilled onions, tomatoes, ranchero beans, mustard, mayo, ketchup, guacamole and grated cotija cheese served on a homemade bun.It was premade and the perfect blend of flavors, if you enjoy a dog that's a little saucy and messy, but delivers huge on flavor. The loaded nachos are good, a touch on the bland side, but not too much. The three salsa varieties add the perfect flavor and salt balance. The chicken was delicious on the nachos. The carne asada fries were similar.Nice tastes, but the carne asada was a little on the chewy side at times.I would order any of these items again with chicken.I loved the roasted pepper garnish. The large soda was massive. All of the food prices are very affordable, and the food digests well, and doesn't feel too heavy. All portion sizes are large and take home boxes are readily available. The ambiance is cute, quaint, colorful, and cozy.Outdoor patio seating is also available.Great location on 19th avenue near Thunderbird. Emilio's is a must visit for the Sonoran hot dog alone. If you're in the mood for a dog, and you appreciate the trimmings, give Emilio's a try. It's a nice little gem to give you that nostalgic hot dog fix with a Mexican twist.
