Mexican restaurant, Burrito restaurant
We were greeted and seated immediately.Soon after we received the chips and salsa. If you don't like your salsa hot, ask for the milder version. The chips were freshly fried and the spicy salsa was perfect for me but, I enjoy spicy foods. The main courses arrived hot and were very good. The star of the meal was the fried ice cream.Served with whip cream, chocolate, Carmel, and raspberry sauces.Truly a great meal and experience.
I’ve been here once before and the food was really good.I went out of my way to come here for dinner, and had looked them up.Google says they’re open until 10pm.I got here at 9:12pm.I knew what I wanted - but when I went inside, they said they were closed (people were sitting at tables eating their meals, so it wasn’t empty yet).I told her that Google said their hours were posted as being open until 10, and she said they close whenever depending on how many people are there. She could make me an order to go…well, I don’t want to spend the cost of their food to go.(This location is more expensive than the other one in St.Helen’s, and their menu has a price on it, but when they rang me up last time, they charged more than what the menu said).I am disappointed because the food was indeed good. But this is the second strike. So I’m leaving a review.Bad business decision.
I've seen a few reviews complaining about their delivery, I can't speak to that.BUT their fine in food is fantastic I've lived in Portland for like 7 years now and my top two spots for Mexican food is here and tachos in Oregon city. The drink are GREAT, the food is good and the combo/choose your own meal menu choice is absolutely a good deal.Their nacho is great, chicken enchilada is best I've had in Portland to date, arroz con Pollo is also great.I will say don't get anything with ground beef, it's not bad but just not to the same quality as the other protein options. The beans are also good but not particularly amazing. The rice is very good although I usually do not like Mexican rice so if you do you might not like the rice as much as I do.All in all it's a bit expensive but I would say worth it 100%
